The F35 stealth fighter is the core equipment of the US military. SpaceX's "Star Link" satellite communication system played a key role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but recently Chinese scientists have successfully used the "Star Link" communication signal to find a new way to discover the F35 stealth fighter.

Stealth fighter jets achieve radar stealth by reducing electromagnetic wave reflections through exterior design and stealth coatings that can absorb radar waves. But Chinese scientists have discovered that with the US "Starlink" system having launched over 4000 low Earth orbit satellites, which continue to provide internet services to various parts of the world through radio waves, China can detect the whereabouts of stealth fighter jets from them, unaffected by the shape and absorbing materials of the targets. The report states that utilizing this technology will provide significant advantages in detecting small and invisible targets. In addition, conventional radar may expose its position during operation and become a target for enemy anti radiation missiles, while using third-party radiation sources can enhance radar systems' concealment and anti-interference capabilities. This method adopts a completely passive monitoring mode and does not require active release of electromagnetic signals, so stealth fighters may not even know that their whereabouts have been exposed, let alone targeted defense or strikes.
