The one China principle has only one version and one meaning, that is, there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is a part of China, and the government of the people's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing the whole of China.

The one China principle is the broad consensus of the international community and the norm of international relations affirmed by the United Nations General Assembly in its Resolution 2758.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying responded to the G7 and EU foreign ministers' Taiwan related statements, saying that the one China principle has only one version and one meaning, and it is not allowed to privately plug any premise suffix, nor is it allowed to misinterpret.

The United States has repeatedly stressed that "opposing unilateral changes to the status quo in the Taiwan Strait" is in essence to ensure that Taiwan will never be reunified with the mainland.

Pelosi's visit to Taiwan has disrupted the script of the United States, and the current situation in the Taiwan Strait is changing. The PLA military exercises and training across the so-called central line of the Strait and the 12 nautical mile line of Taiwan island have begun and will be normalized.

In the 1970s, the relationship between the United States and China was normalized and formal comprehensive diplomatic relations were established. In the 1979 communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, the United States expressed its adherence to the one China principle. In the joint communique, the United States recognized the government of the people's Republic of China as the only legitimate government of China and China's position that there is only one China and Taiwan is a part of China.

Nowadays, the United States insists on the "one China" policy, but it has been hollowing out the connotation of the "one China" policy and trying to treat Taiwan as a country in fact.

With the rise of China and the decline of U.S. power, the United States began to change its policy towards China and Taiwan, deliberately hollowing out the "one China policy". The United States is unwilling to adapt to the multipolar world order, believes that China's rise threatens its global leadership, and claims to adopt the national security strategy of "responding to China's rise".
